A number of senior citizens gathered at the senior center Tuesday afternoon to play games. The Sunflower Senior Citizens sponsor this event every fourth Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., but it is not for members only. Anyone who likes games is welcome to attend. Bring games and snacks if you wish.

Reuben and Lucille Kerbs went to Hillsboro Tuesday evening to watch the Babe Ruth baseball game between Hillsboro and Marion. Their grandson, Rustyn Kerns plays on the Hillsboro team.

Becky Routh, Melody, Allison, and Danielle of Augusta spent Monday through Wednesday with her mother, Leona Kleiber. Cindy Vinduska and Adeline Bernhardt joined them in attending the Memorial Day service at the Lewis Cemetery in Ramona and the potluck dinner afterward at the park. Pastor Clark Davis spoke at the cemetery service. Neil Albrecht was the soloist, and Cole Svoboda played taps.

Terry and Cindy Vinduska of Marion and Adeline Bernhardt were Tuesday supper guests of Leona Kleiber and her houseguests. After supper, they visited Dale and Andrea Klenda and Elijah.

Guests of Frank and Anna Mae Stika for a Memorial Day barbecue were Lynn and Vicki Sader of Hutchinson, Randy and Kodi Kelsey of Marion, Ronnie and Lisa Hanschu, James and Anna, McKayla Antoszyk, Tom and Lori Moldenhauer and Nikki and their friend Sam and Todd Leach.

Elmer Gooding, Carston Faulkner, and Denise McClain and Macy spent from Sunday evening to Tuesday with Reuben and Lucille Kerbs. Additional Monday dinner guests were Connie Thompson, Allison and Taylor and Russ and Julie Kerbs and Rustyn. Ashton Smith and Sydney of Pilsen joined them in the afternoon. Denise treated Reuben and Lucille and their other houseguests to dinner at the café on Tuesday.

Elijah Klenda was baptized Sunday after mass at St. John Nepomucene Church in Pilsen followed by a dinner in his honor at the home of his parents, Dale and Andrea Klenda. Dinner guests included Dennis and Terry Klenda and Tyler of Pilsen, Lynn and Peggy Kleiber and Nicholas of Salina, Amanda Baxa of Manhattan, Darlene Sergeant of Emporia, Ruth Weigel and Agnes Weigel of Wichita, and Leona Kleiber.

Sunday afternoon visitors of Georgia Spohn were Melvin Mohn of Lyons and his daughter Tippi and grandson Jeff of Sioux City, Iowa, Jerry and Jill Spohn of White City, and Gary and Carole Spohn.

Jane Vajnar spent from Friday to Tuesday with Marc and Wendy Stroede, Dan Stroede, and Aaron Burwell of Kanopolis. Other visitors to the Stroede home during her stay were Jessica, Sarah, and Sam Burwell, Jessica's friend Clinton, Makenzie Stroede, Jacob and Robin Stroede and family, and Joel and Meghann Bunch and family. Jane was a Friday supper guest of Jon and Wanda Sneath at Carneiro, On Sunday she attended church in Carneiro and attended the Walker family reunion. On Monday she attended the VFW Memorial Day service at the Carneiro followed by the Carneiro community reunion.

Frank and Anna Mae Stika attended the Ramona alumni banquet Sunday evening at Lost Springs. The event had a 1950s theme, and their daughter Lisa Hanschu impersonated Patsy Cline.

Lorraine Havlik of Marion and Adeline Bernhardt enjoyed dinner at the café Sunday followed by an afternoon of visiting at Adeline's home.

Lynn and Peggy Kleiber and Nicholas of Salina brought a pizza supper to Leona Kleiber Sunday evening. Amanda Baxa joined them for supper. The Lynn Kleibers were overnight guests.

Reuben and Lucille Kerbs went to Augusta Saturday for the wedding of Kelsey Moore and Matthew Wood. The reception and dance was at El Dorado. Kelsey is the granddaughter of Lucille's brother and his wife, Virgil and Barbara Gooding. Many relatives and friends were in attendance.

Deb and Kaylee Hall and of Herington, Grace Peterson of Lincolnville, and Tom and Dee Duggan spent Sunday and Monday in the Kansas City area. They visited Darla Hall and Adam at Lee's Summit. All went to a water park in Kansas City both days. On Monday Adam brought three friends. The occasion was a celebration of Kaylee's and Adam's birthdays May 23 and 30.

Jerry and Jeanne Rziha and Susie Rziha went to Atchison Sunday for the baptism of Anna Claire Rziha, daughter of John and Jeanne Rziha. Mark and Theresa Jirak were Anna's sponsors. En route home the Rzihas were overnight guests of Jim and Dianne Herron, Andrew, Peter, Maria, and John.

Adeline Bernhardt and Leona Kleiber went with a group of Hillsboro senior citizens to the Crown Uptown Theater in Wichita Thursday to see the production of "Church Basement Ladies."

Dee Duggan attended the visitation for Sue McIntyre Thursday and the funeral Friday. Other Red Hat members at the funeral were Phyllis Allen, Barbara Askew, and Rhea Kolling of Herington, Joyce Cox of Abilene, and Betty Schlesener of Hope.

Amanda Baxa graduated magna cum laude from Kansas State University May 17 with a bachelor of science degree. Commencement exercises were at Bramlage Coliseum. Lynn and Peggy Kleiber and Nicholas were hosts for a dinner in her honor at their Salina home. Relatives and friends attending included Bob and Phyl Kenney and Bill and Dana Wendling of Lincoln, Neb., Tim Baxa, Steven Stover and Michelle Mazur of Manhattan, Raymond Baxa and Gino and Connie Brichalli and Wyatt of Cuba, Terry Klenda and Dale and Andrea Klenda of Pilsen, Jim and Sarah Baxa and Benedict of Wichita, Becky Routh of Augusta, and Leona Kleiber.

Dee Duggan received a phone call Friday from Mary Christiansen. If any of Mary's old friends would like to boost her spirits with a card or visit, she is at Presbyterian Manor, 2601 E. Crawford, Salina.
