Blanche Oborny

Blanche Oborny, 94, died June 30, 2004, at the Andbe Home in Norton.

The daughter of Emanuel and Emma (Krch) Vinduska, she was born April 20, 1910, in Pilsen.

She grew up in the Pilsen area and attended Catholic school there. She was a homemaker and telephone operator. She managed the first school lunch program for the parish parochial school at Pilsen and was the priest's housekeeper.

On Oct. 28, 1936, she married Louis Lentz. He died in 1945.

On April 28, 1968, she married Edward J. Oborny and they moved to Timken. He died in 1986.

She moved to Norton in 1988, to be near her family.

She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and altar society.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; one sister, Mary; a brother, Jim; and one sister-in-law, Maudie Marie.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Eugene Wetter of Norton; two stepchildren, Marcella and husband Bernard Stos of Otis and Edward J. and wife Margaret Oborny of Bison; two grandchildren; step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

The rosary was recited Thursday evening at Enfield Funeral Home, Norton.

The Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday morning at Holy Family Parish, St. John Nep. Church, Pilsen.

Burial was in Pilsen Cemetery.

Memorials have been established with St. Francis Catholic Church, Norton County Hospital, and Andbe Home in Norton.
