Bob Fisher
Calvin Robert Fisher, 79, died Aug. 29, 2002, at St. Luke Living Center.
Born Aug. 11, 1923, at Preston, he was the son of Algernon Edwin and Edith Irene (Haynes) Fisher.
A farmer, he lived in the Preston area most of his life. On April 3, 1948, he married Wilma Jean Layman at Natrona. She died March 27, 2001.
He was a member of Killiwinning Masonic Lodge of Pratt, the Wichita Consistory, and Midian Shrine of Wichita. He served in the U.S. Army and was employed with Manhattan Engineers, Albuquerque, N.M.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Eugene Fisher.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan Reid of Florence and Tena Stevens of Burlington; two brothers, Glenn Fisher of Preston and Ronald Fisher of Stafford; a sister, Dorothy Fergason of Pratt; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Larrison Mortuary, Pratt, with the Rev. Kendal Utt officiating. Burial was in Friendship Cemetery, Preston.
Memorial funds have been established with Southwind Hospice or St. Luke Living Center.
