Brad Tice recognized by pharmaceutical group

Marion native Dr. Brad Tice recently was awarded the prestigious American Pharmacists Association Fellow Award.

He was among only 17 individuals nationwide to receive the award. A maximum of 20 are given each year from the more than 60,000 members. Recipients must have a minimum of 10 years of professional pharmacy experience.

He earned his bachelor's of science and doctorate of pharmacy from the University of Kansas. Tice began his pharmacy career focusing on the delivery of patient care services for Osco Drug, first as a pharmacist in Kansas City, and later as a pharmacy manager for Osco Drug in Davenport, Iowa. He later became a professor at Drake University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and director of the Osco Drug/Drake University Community Care Laboratory.

He is the son of Martin and Margaret Tice of Marion.
