Broadstreet siblings attend class reunions

Three members of the Broadstreet family attend class reunion activities during Old Settlers' Day weekend.

Judy (Broadstreet) Stauffer of Algonquin, Ill., attended her 40th class reunion. Lane Broadstreet of Valley Center attended the 45th reunion. Nancy (Broadstreet) Bowen of Manhattan celebrated her 50th reunion.

All attended Sterling College and became school teachers.

Stauffer attended Sterling College and graduated from Friends University. She has taught music in Kansas City and Elgin, Ill.

Broadstreet graduated from Sterling College and earned a double master's degree at Wichita State University. He taught at Sylvia, Coffeyville, Derby, and Howard. He then became a claims adjuster for an insurance company until three years ago.

Bowen graduated from Sterling College and took graduate hours at Kansas State University. She taught at Sterling High School and Junction City Junior High School, then opened a business in Manhattan.

Bernadeen (Broadstreet) Winter also attended Sterling College and co-owns Marion Marble and Granite with her husband, Alvin.
