I received recent communication from Mary Louise Pritchard of Emporia. She and her sister, Janis are requesting a card shower for their mother, Mildred Hodson in honor of her 90th birthday which was Jan. 23. Her address is Mildred Hodson, 733 E. Kansas, McPherson 67460. Mildred and her late husband, George lived on a farm north of the Charles Gutsch farm from the time we moved here until their retirement to McPherson. Please remember her with cards and letters.
Dr. Larry Peterson of Granby, Colo., came Friday evening to visit Neva Peterson. He will return to his home Monday.
Bertha (Gutsch) Harrison, aunt of the late Charles Gutsch and other Gutsch cousins in the area, will celebrated her 98th birthday Jan. 14. Her address is Holiday Resort, Room #114, 2700 W. 30th Ave., Emporia 66801.
Sabrina Dunkin and Logan of Rose Hill were Wednesday visitors of Evelyn Forsberg.
Burdick senior citizens and others are invited to attend a meeting at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 30 at the Lincolnville Community Center. The program will be Centre music students. This is sponsored by the Lincolnville Senior Citizens.
Charles and Arlene Carlson were Sunday afternoon visitors of Kent and Jean Brunner and Jill Brunner and Tucker.
Harry Schump of Herington, Evelyn Forsberg, and Renee Ink were Saturday supper guests of Mike and Jane Rickenbrode, Wade and Morgan at their home at Council Grove.
Lee and Elinor Remy and Tad Remy went to Salina Thursday. Lee attended real estate classes. Elinor and Tad went shopping and to a movie. Elinor said it was snowing and blowing in the morning but had cleared up by noon.

Ruth Riggin and Roger Peterson were Sunday dinner guests of Earl and Lois Peterson at the Mansion at Herington. They visited with Rolland Peterson at the Herington hospital in the afternoon. He was to be released Monday to come home. Remember him with your phone calls and visits as he is able.

Darrell and Candice Denault of Salina were Saturday visitors of Neva Peterson and her houseguest, Larry Peterson. They cleaned up the limbs from the recent ice storm.
