Burdick Senior Citizens will have their monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Friday at Burdick United Methodist Church. The program will be presented by Anita Weber of Marion displaying a collection of music boxes. Refreshments will be furnished after the meeting and program.
Burdick American Legion will march on Memorial Day at the following cemeteries: Diamond Valley, 8:30 a.m. Wilsey, 9 a.m. Delavan, 9:30 a.m. Mitchell, 10 a.m. Burdick cemeteries: Mission, 10:15 a.m. Methodist, 10:30 a.m. Lutheran, 11 a.m.
Legion members should gather before 8 a.m. to have practice before leaving Burdick Legion hall at 8 a.m. More information may be in next week's paper.
Nanette Forsberg, Joe, Savannah, and Ethan and Mrs. Earl Forsberg attended the Butler County Community College graduation Saturday afternoon at El Dorado. Jane Ann Rickenbrode was one of the graduates. Bonnie Sue Hefner, Tina Crabtree, Adriane and Jordan of Wagoner, Okla., also attended.
Earl and Lois Peterson met Kenny and Kathryn Biehler Friday evening at Lost Springs and enjoyed Mexican dinner together.
Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Peterson were Saturday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Burdette Peterson.
Wade Rickenbrode of Council Grove and Ethan Forsberg were Saturday overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Forsberg.
Bruce and Alona Hedstrom, Tana Riffel, and Dollye Novak attended a dance recital Sunday for Callie and Kaitlyn Riffel presented by Vicki's School of Dance at Hillsboro.
Mr. and Mrs. Dean Forsberg, Savannah and Ethan were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Forsberg.
Eldon and Isla Rose Nelson spent the weekend at their home near Burdick.
Mr. and Mrs. Bret Beye, Elizabeth, Cuyler, and Chelsea entertained Sunday evening for Samantha's birthday. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Burdette Peterson, Shelly Crowder, Marvin Peterson, Eric, Scott, and Josie, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. Brian Sweet, Chandler and Abby, Oliver Peterson, Roger Peterson, Rolland Peterson, and Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Peterson.
Earl and Lois Peterson hosted a Sunday noon dinner for Mike Peterson and Kasey of Lyndon, Oliver Peterson, Roger Peterson, and Rolland Peterson. After dinner, they drove to Abilene to visit Les and Marie Thornton. Les is slowly getting stronger after his surgery.
