Burdick Council of Clubs met Aug. 6 at the Legion shelter house with 10 members present. Events posters were completed and will be posted in area towns. Various jobs and duties were assigned for Sept. 2-3. A work time will is scheduled for the morning of Sept. 1.
Nancy Riggin and Hannah Tindle of Hutchinson were Saturday afternoon visitors of Neva Peterson and Ruth Riggin.
Dean Forsberg and Ethan were Monday noon dinner guests of Evelyn Forsberg. Joe Forsberg of Salina was a Tuesday dinner guest of Evelyn. Savannah and Ethan Forsberg were Tuesday afternoon visitors.
Chelsea Cowart of Herington was a Thursday overnight and Friday guest of Mary Deane Peterson.
Perry Gutsch of Herington took Darlene Gutsch to Salina Tuesday for an appointment. Evening visitors were Jeff Bryant of Arkansas City, Perry Gutsch, and Gayla Deines.
Dr. Larry Peterson of Granby, Colo., arrived Friday evening for a visit with Neva Peterson. He will return to his home Tuesday.
Darlene Gutsch was a Friday morning visitor of Forrest and Marie Anderson.
Charles and Arlene Carlson were Tuesday evening supper guests of Kent and Jean Brunner and Jill Brunner and Tucker. They were celebrating Jill's birthday, which was Wednesday.

Ethan Forsberg visited Evelyn Forsberg Saturday morning. Evelyn Forsberg visited with Harry Schump Saturday afternoon and evening at Herington.
Mary Deane Peterson and Josie Peterson attended the 80th birthday party Saturday evening for Monte Carl at the Herington Community Building. Others from the area attending were Earl and Lois Peterson, Lee and Elinor Remy, Roger Peterson, and Rolland Peterson.
Harry Schump was a Sunday dinner guest of Evelyn Forsberg. Savannah Forsberg was an afternoon visitor. Harry Schump and Mike and Jane Rickenbrode, Wade and Morgan of Council Grove were Sunday supper guests.
