A reception supper was held Sept. 1 at the Herington Lake shelter house to celebrate the wedding of Kim Biehler and Erik Johnson, who were married July 28 at Oakdale, Mich.

Approximately 100 guests were present to enjoy food, drinks, and visiting with the newlyweds. Special guests were the groom's parents, Ron and Kathy Johnson of Grand Rapids, Mich., his sister, Jenna Johnson of Rochester, Mich., Kim's parents, Kara and Tim Biehler, sister Megan Biehler, and grandparents, Gene and Jean Ecklund of Herington.

Dean Forsberg and Sabrina Dunkin and Logan of Rose Hill were Monday visitors of Evelyn Forsberg.

Ruth Riggin was a Tuesday afternoon visitor of Darlene Gutsch.

Dean Forsberg was a Thursday afternoon visitor of Evelyn Forsberg. Harry Schump of Herington and Savannah Forsberg were Friday afternoon visitors.

Darlene Gutsch joined Jeff and Gayla Deines, Shelby and Justin, Jessica Deines of Manhattan, and Dustin Burnett Wednesday evening for supper at Al's Café, Lost Springs. They were celebrating Dustin's birthday.

Mike and Jane Rickenbrode, Wade and Morgan of Council Grove were Saturday visitors of Evelyn Forsberg. Wade stayed to spend the weekend with his grandmother.

Pat Nuestrom was a Saturday morning visitor of Darlene Gutsch.

Jim and Marilyn Peterson brought supper Saturday night to Earl and Lois Peterson and their houseguests. Other guests were Phil and Jamie Peterson and Matt and Jamie Dalke, Reagan and Tyler.

Perry Gutsch, Anthony and Whitney and Gayla Deines accompanied Darlene Gutsch to the community-wide Labor Day church services Sunday morning and were her visitors afterward. They helped with mowing and other chores. Jeff Deines and Justin came in the afternoon to help.

Dean Forsberg and Joe Forsberg of Salina were Sunday afternoon visitors of Evelyn Forsberg.

Labor Day guests of Gary and Marilyn Hageberg were Bob and Marjorie Price of Atlanta Ga., and Ruth Prendable of Baltimore, Md., who arrived Aug. 29 and will leave Wednesday. Other guests during the weekend were Trey Hageberg and Janine Hageberg and Ashlynn, Blackwell, Okla., and friend Gail, and Theresa Hageberg and Kenny Roberts, Topeka.

Keith and Dianne Miller of Grand Junction, Colo., came Thursday and will spend a week with Earl and Lois Peterson and other relatives in the area.

Chuck and Jan Creger, Jacob and Caleb of Ridgedale, Mo., were Labor Day weekend guests of Lee and Elinor Remy. They came especially to view Lee and Elinor Remy as grand marshals in the 35th Labor Day parade. Tomy Remy and family were visitors and houseguests during the weekend.

Rhylee Karst, daughter of Jonnie and Cicely Karst of Wichita, is spending some time with her grandparents, Mike and Linda Carlson. They were Saturday evening visitors of Charles and Arlene Carlson. Jean Brunner and Amy Brunner were Monday visitors.

Gary and Karen Korte of Emporia were Labor Day weekend guests of Forrest and Marie Anderson. Ian Korte of Lawrence also was a weekend guest.

Visitors at the Ruth Riggin home over the Labor Day weekend were C.J. and Pat Baker, Marc and Lynn Baker, Levi, Riggin, and Cole of Lawrence, Doug and Pam Baker and Taylor of Talequah, Okla.

Monday dinner guests of Forrest and Marie Anderson and their houseguests were Erin Korte and Jason Houser of Manhattan, E.T. Anderson of Emporia, and Lynn Scotto of Kansas City.

Monday night visitors of Earl and Lois Peterson and their houseguests were Phil and Jamie Peterson, Adrienne Peterson, and John Richard of Lawrence.

Marcella Hermstein of Herington was a Friday afternoon visitor of Forrest and Marie Anderson.

Perry Gutsch visited Darlene Gutsch Sunday morning and accompanied her to Burdick United Methodist Church services.

Harry Schump was a Sunday dinner guest of Evelyn Forsberg. Dean Forsberg was an afternoon visitor.

Ruth Riggin accompanied Earl and Lois Peterson and Roger and Rolland Peterson to Ramona Sunday for dinner. They all visited with Ollie Peterson at the assisted living center in the afternoon.

Albert Shade was a Friday morning visitor of Forrest Anderson. Lyle and Betty Sylvester of Clay Center, were Saturday morning visitors.

Joe Forsberg of Salina and Ethan Forsberg were Saturday morning visitors of Evelyn Forsberg.

Evelyn Forsberg's birthday was celebrated Saturday at a restaurant at Council Grove. Others attending were Harry Schump, Mike and Jane Rickenbrode, Wade, Morgan, and Nanette Forsberg, Savannah and Ethan Forsberg and Joe Forsberg, Salina; Sabrina Dunkin and Logan, Rose Hill; and Willie Hicks. They visited at the Mike Rickenbrode family home in the afternoon.

Lee and Elinor visited Oliver Peterson at the assisted living center at Herington Sunday evening.

Forrest and Marie Anderson went to Lindsborg Saturday and took Maurine Johnson out to lunch. They had a nice visit with her.

Forrest and Marie Anderson were Sunday evening visitors of Charles and Mona Kniebel of White City.
