Darlene Gutsch accompanied Bruce Winkler of Marion to Wichita Saturday to visit Dorothy Rindt. She had a dinner Sunday noon to celebrate Bruce's birthday, which was Thursday, and Erica Hess's, which was Friday. Other guests were Gene and Doris Winkler, Brian and Sherri Hess, Macy, Kelly, and Jake, all of Marion; and Debi Kreutzman and Lisa Anderson, Wichita. They returned home Sunday evening.

Dean Forsberg was a Monday morning and lunch guest of Evelyn Forsberg.

Pancake Day will be from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Legion hall.

Jessica Deines of Manhattan visited Darlene Gutsch Tuesday afternoon. She was on a short break from school. She brought her grandmother some mums.

Evelyn Forsberg took Savannah Forsberg of Emporia and Jane Rickenbrode of Council Grove to lunch Friday noon at the East Side Bar and Grill. Savannah was on break from school.

About 30 people were at the Legion hall Friday morning to take flu or pneumonia shots, given by the Morris County Health Department. Ashley Barlow was the RN giving the shots. She was assisted by her mother, Connie Barlow of Yates Center.

Evelyn Forsberg was a Sunday dinner and afternoon guest of Harry Schump at Herington.

Gayla Deines, Perry Gutsch, Jeff Bryant of Arkansas City, and Darlene Gutsch met Wednesday noon at Al's Café for lunch and a business meeting.

There will be a community bridal shower for Adrienne Peterson of Lawrence at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Hebron Lutheran Church basement.

Diana Jost and Tory Jost and Colin of St. Mary's were Saturday afternoon visitors of Neva Peterson.

Earl and Lois Peterson and Irvin and Audine Strand of Herington went to the 60th wedding anniversary celebration Sunday for Russell and Lily Hurd at Mulvane.

Keep the following in your thoughts and prayers this week — Bill Peterson and family, who had some more surgery Saturday; and Charles Carlson and family, who was having surgery Monday at Manhattan.

Ruth Riggin took Neva Peterson to Junction City Tuesday for some tests.

Card club met Sunday evening at the Golden Age activity room at Herington with Linnea Barlow as hostess. Guests were Ruth Riggin, LaVerna Miller, Bonnie Sill, Lee and Elinor Remy, Vic and Helen Brunner, Ken and Alice Peterson, and Earl and Lois Peterson.

Ruth Riggin spent Saturday with Lyal and Julie Sader at Salina. They ate lunch at noon together.

Dr. Larry and Suzie Peterson of Granby, Colo., came Wednesday and spent the night with Neva Peterson. They went to Kansas City to spend some time with the Gene Ronsick family and attend a ball game. They returned to Neva Peterson's home Saturday. They visited Jack and Nancy Riggin Saturday evening. They left for their home at Granby Sunday morning and visited with Darrell and Candice Denault at Salina en route.
