Neva Peterson had lots of hunting visitors this weekend. Darrell and Candice Denault of Salina came Friday and spent the weekend. Candice did lots of the cooking. Other guests during the weekend were Dr. Larry Peterson of Granby, Colo., his son, Josh Peterson of Grand Lake, Colo., Tom Burdick and son Drew of Castle Rock, Colo., Terry Little of Fort Collins, Colo., Craig Kemp and son Tanner of Minnesota, Gene Ronsick of Kansas City, Jake Tindle of Hutchinson, Jack Riggin, and Glen Carlson.

Nanette Forsberg and Logan Dunkin of Rose Hill were Monday morning visitors of Evelyn Forsberg.

Burdick UMW met Wednesday evening at the Burdick UM fellowship hall with 11 members present. Devotions and the lesson were given by Kiki Krause and refreshments were provided by Khrista Branson. The next meeting will be a potluck dinner at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Burdick UM fellowship hall. A program will follow and prayer pal gifts will be exchanged.

Tuesday afternoon visitors of Evelyn Forsberg were Harry Schump of Herington and Dean and Nanette Forsberg.

WELCA met at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 14 at Hebron Lutheran Church basement with Pastor John Gerry and seven members present. Pastor John presented the lesson. Naomi Nelson was the hostess. Others attending were Alona Hedstrom, Jewel Swinney, Carol Miller, Gloria Martin, Hallie Novak, and Nancy Hanson.

Evelyn Forsberg received word Wednesday of the death of Dan Forsberg of Baton Rouge, La., son of Bill and Barbara Forsberg of Atchison.

Matt and Jamie Dalke, Reagan and Tyler of Lindsborg joined the Bethany Lutheran Church Nov. 18 at Lindsborg. Tyler also was baptized. Family members attending were Jim and Marilyn Peterson, Mike Peterson and Kasey of Lyndon, Earl and Lois Peterson, Alfred and Darlene Sondergard of Ramona, and John and Delores Dalke of Hillsboro.

Wednesday callers of Mary Deane Peterson were Ellanore Burns and Beverly Layne of Huntsville, Ala.

Dean Forsberg was a Friday morning and lunch guest of Evelyn Forsberg. Savannah Forsberg and Mary Deane Peterson were afternoon visitors.

Mary Deane Peterson called on Velma Crowley Thursday morning at the assisted living center at Herington.

Harry Schump of Herington was a Sunday dinner guest of Evelyn Forsberg.

Jane Rickenbrode, Wade and Morgan of Council Grove hosted a dinner Sunday evening in honor of Mike Rickenbrode's birthday. Besides the honored guest, Mike and his family, guests were Evelyn Forsberg, Harry Schump, Nanette Forsberg, Savannah Forsberg, Willie Hicks, and Chris Hilton.

Bret and Lisa Beye and Cuyler Cowart of Herington were hosts for a supper Sunday evening honoring Chelsea Cowart's 10th birthday. Guests were Bill and Judy Peterson, Shannon, Trent, and Shae Granzow of Herington, Samantha Beye of Emporia, Jenelle Alt of Salina, Jennifer Schrader, Shae and Hunter of Wichita, Marvin Peterson and Josie of Lincolnville, Burdette and Maureen Peterson, Mary Dean Peterson, and Roger and Roland Peterson.

Keep Linda (Gutsch) Gottstein in your thoughts and prayers. She is a sister-in-law of Darlene Gutsch. She had surgery Monday at Salina and is convalescing at her home in McPherson. Her address is Linda Gottstein, 811 N. High Drive, McPherson 67460.

Burdick Council of Clubs met Nov. 5 at the Legion building. Financial sheets for Labor Day 2007 were distributed. It was concluded that it was again a success. We would like community input on events that would be fun and/or profitable and a source of new and different entertainment for both Sunday evening and Monday during the day. Bring suggestions to COC members. Twelve members were present at the meeting.

Darlene Gutsch visited with Marilyn Hageberg Thursday morning.

Dean and Nanette Forsberg visited Evelyn Forsberg Tuesday evening.

Dean Forsberg visited Evelyn Forsberg Thursday morning and Saturday evening.

Perry Gutsch came to the pancake feed Saturday morning and brought Whitney Gutsch to help her grandmother. He picked her up at noon.

Jean Brunner and Jill Brunner and Tucker visited Charles and Arlene Carlson Saturday afternoon.

There was a community shower Nov. 11 for Adrienne Peterson of Lawrence at the Hebron Lutheran Church basement. Hostesses were Sandy Carlson, Alona Hedstrom, Connie Johnson, Maureen Peterson, Kelli Pearl, Nancy Riggin, and Mary Deane Peterson.

Ruth Riggin and Earl Peterson attended the baptism of Ruthie Ann Martin, daughter of Ed and Debbie Martin of Wamego at the Presbyterian church Sunday morning. The baby is Ruth's great-granddaughter.

Ila Bryant of Wichita was a Friday afternoon visitor of Neva Peterson. Nadine James of Emporia was a Saturday afternoon visitor of Neva Peterson.

Mike and Linda Carlson visited Charles and Arlene Carlson Sunday evening.

Dale Rust of Sandy, Utah, arrived Tuesday night and was an overnight and Wednesday guest of Neva Peterson. He is Neva's nephew and son of Margaret Rust. While here, he visited Jack and Nancy Riggin, Leona Anderson, and Ruth Riggin.

Gary and Marilyn went to Topeka Friday noon to attend the Marine Corps Ball Friday evening at the Ramada Inn, which Phillip Hageberg helped plan and present. They spent the night at Topeka and met Kenny Roberts, Teresa Hageberg, and Phillip Saturday morning for breakfast. They spent the day in Topeka and returned Saturday evening.

Charles and Arlene Carlson visited Irwin and Audine Strand at Herington Tuesday afternoon.

Darlene Gutsch attended a pre-Thanksgiving dinner for the Gutsch family Nov. 11, which was hosted by John and Sue Gutsch at the Lincolnville Community Building.
