Burdick: American Legion to meet Aug. 6

Pancake days for hunters and others will be on Saturday and Wednesday mornings until 1 p.m. at the Burdick Legion Hall. This will be by donations.

American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary will meet at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Time for meetings throughout the winter will be 7:30 p.m.

Mr. and Mrs. Ken Peterson of Herington and their houseguests Mr. and Mrs. Boston of Ohio were Monday afternoon visitors of Neva Peterson.

Wendell and Mary Deane Peterson visited with Earl and Evelyn Forsberg Monday afternoon.

Dan and Dee Hageberg were Friday evening guests of Charles and Arlene Carlson. They were celebrating Dan's birthday.

Morgan and Wade Rickenbrode of Council Grove spent Thursday and Friday with Earl and Evelyn Forsberg. Mike Rickenbrode was a Friday visitor and Morgan returned home with him. Joe Forsberg and Wade were Saturday evening supper guests of the Forsbergs. Wade returned home Sunday morning.

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Balmer of Aledo, Ill., spent Thursday afternoon with Wendell and Mary Deane Peterson.

Earl and Ruth Schump of Herington visited with Earl and Evelyn Forsberg and Wade Rickenbrode Friday evening.

Friday evening supper guests of Earl and Lois Peterson were Roger Peterson, Rolland Peterson, and Oliver Peterson.

Charles and Arlene Carlson were Sunday afternoon visitors of Kent and Jean Brunner and their guests, Amy Brunner of Salina and Jill McGrath and Tucker of Manhattan..

Callers of Wendell and Mary Deane Peterson during the past week were Marvin Peterson, Eric, Scott, and Josie of Lincolnville, Joyce Roever of Herington, Lois Peterson, and Maureen Peterson.
