Burdick: Legion, auxiliary to meet

The Burdick American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary will meet at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Legion hall.

Hebron Lutheran Church will hold its annual chicken supper at 5 p.m. Oct. 8.

Charles and Darlene Gutsch were Saturday afternoon visitors of Bruce Winkler at Marion. Other visitors were Doris Winkler of Marion, Dorothy Rindt of Wichita, Gayla Deines and Justin of Ramona, and Lavonne Klose of Marion.

Callers of Neva Peterson during the past week were Dwain and Pat Neustrom, Ken and Alice Peterson of Herington, C.J. and Pat Baker, Goldie Steely of Salina, Paul Anderson, Ruth Riggin, Jack and Nancy Riggin, Lois Peterson, Janis Peterson, and Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Knuth of Emporia.

Charles and Darlene Gutsch attended the 51st annual Bredemeier reunion Sunday at the Marion County Lake hall.

Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. Burdette Peterson, and Josie Peterson of Lincolnville were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bret Beye and family of Herington.

Dean Forsberg's 50th birthday anniversary was celebrated Sunday afternoon at the home of Earl and Evelyn Forsberg. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Dean Forsberg, Joe, Savannah, and Ethan, Sabrina Dunkin, Richard Forsberg, Harry Schump of Herington, and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Rickenbrode, Wade and Morgan of Council Grove. All enjoyed sandwiches, cake, and ice cream.

Charles and Darlene Gutsch attended the 55th class reunion from Marion High School over the weekend. They attended a pizza party Friday evening at the home of Forrest and Bea Kelsey of Marion, a coffee and rolls get together at the Marion Senior Center on Saturday, and Charles road on the class float during the parade.
