Burdick News: Methodist women to meet

The Burdick United Methodist Women will meet at 7:30 p.m. at Wednesday at the Burdick United Methodist Fellowship Hall. The lesson leader will be Karen Carlson, devotion will be given by Nancy Riggin and hostesses are Janet Matz and Nancy Riggin.
Perry Gutsch was a visitor last Saturday and Sunday of Charles and Darlene Gutsch.
Audine Strand was a Monday afternoon visitor of Evelyn Forsberg.
Rylee Karst of Wichita spent last Sunday through Friday with Mike and Linda Carlson. Rylee, Mike, and Linda visited several times with Charles and Arlene Carlson.
Mary Deane Peterson spent Thursday afternoon in Herington with Marjorie Erickson.
Harry Schump of Herington and Dean Forsberg were Wednesday noon dinner guests of Evelyn Forsberg. Ethan Forsberg was a Wednesday evening visitor.
Charles and Arlene Carlson were Thursday evening visitors of Kent and Jean Brunner, Jill Brunner and Tucker.
Mary Deane Peterson was a Friday afternoon visitor of Naomi Nelson.
Mike and Jane Rickenbrode, Wade and Morgan of Council Grove were Friday evening visitors of Evelyn Forsberg. Wade was a Friday and Saturday overnight guest.
Sunday afternoon and evening visitors of Mary Deane Peterson were Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Peterson and Josie of Lincolnville, Mr. and Mrs. Bret Beye, Cuyler and Chelsea of Herington, and Mr. and Mrs. Burdette Peterson.
The Corlberg-Smith American Legion Post #147 and American Legion Auxiliary met Oct. 3 at the Legion Hall. Present were 10 members of the legion and seven members of the Auxiliary. Plans were made to serve pancakes Nov. 4 and Nov. 11 at the Legion Hall. Legion members will help with this project. Charles and Darlene Gutsch served refreshments. The next Legion meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 7 at the Legion Hall.
