Burdick News: Women attend retreat

Donna Glover and Patti Gaines attended a scrapbook retreat in Emporia Friday night and Saturday.

Ronnie and Patti Gaines, Maude Gaines, and Shelley Harper went to Perry Sunday for a family gathering to celebrate Corey Gantz's birthday.

Marvin and Sherol Nightengale went to Newton Saturday to watch Laura Nightengale in a track meet. Later, they went to McPherson to a book signing at the Bookshelf. The book had the story of the Burns High School basketball champions of 1953, of which Marvin was a player. They went to El Dorado Sunday and called on Mrs. Bill Clark (Marie) in Allen Memorial Hospital.

Bonnie Plummer visited her daughter. Shelby, in Lawrence this weekend. Al Plummer attended a Plummer cousins' reunion in Wichita Friday evening. Al's sister, Kay Hall of Las Cruces, N.M., came for the reunion and to the Plummer home Sunday to spend a week with them.

Bertha and Loretta Koehn took Sunday lunch to the home of Vernon, Florine, and Judy Koehn and all enjoyed eating together. Harlan and Edna Koehn visited in the Koehn home in the afternoon.

Renferd and Wanda Koehn called on Rose Forgy Sunday morning in Newton Medical Center. Rose had surgery Friday. She was released on Monday. We wish her well.

Nathan and Ella Koehn were Sunday dinner guests of Renferd and Wanda Koehn, Lonnie, Dalen, and Carolee.
