Ollie Peterson celebrated his 97th birthday Friday evening with an ice cream and cake party at Hebron Lutheran Church. Attending were Marie and Gene Thornton of Abilene, David Thornton and daughter Olivia of Wichita, Wendell and Mary Deane Peterson, Shelly Peterson, Eric, Scott, and Josie of Lincolnville, Bud and Maureen Peterson, Lisa Beye of Herington, Jim and Marilyn Peterson, Regan and Tyler Dalke of Hillsboro, Lorraine Gerry, Roger Peterson, Rolland Peterson, Wayne and Nancy Hanson, Gloria Martin, and Earl and Lois Peterson.

Dean Forsberg and Ethan visited Monday morning with Earl and Evelyn Forsberg.

Council of Clubs will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Legion shelter house.

Kenny and Isla Bryant of Wichita hosted a picnic dinner Saturday noon in honor of Nadine James' 65th birthday at their farm home at Hymer. Attending were Nadine and Paul James of Emporia, their daughter and husband, Tom and Jan Vittitow of Wichita, Isla's friend Marty of Wichita and her grandson, Scotty, David Yenni and Ryan, Spencer, and Seth of Lindsborg, Ken and Alice Peterson of Herington, Burton and Mary Lou Bachman, and Neva Peterson.

Earl and Evelyn Forsberg were Tuesday afternoon visitors of Earl and Ruth Schump of Herington. They were evening visitors of Marcus and Sabrina Dunkin and Logan of Herington and their houseguest, Donna Pritchard.

Eric and Josie Peterson of Lincolnville were Saturday noon lunch guests of Wendell and Mary Deane Peterson.

Earl and Evelyn Forsberg visited Thursday evening with Wendell and Mary Deane Peterson. On Friday the Forsbergs attended a pizza party at Herington Community Building hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Stroda and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Schump.

Charles and Arlene Carlson were Sunday dinner guests of Mike and Linda Carlson. Other guests were Jonnie and Cicely Karst and Rylee of Wichita.

Neva Peterson has a new great-granddaughter. Mike and Elisabeth Dickinson of Longmont, Colo., are the parents of a baby girl, Riley Grace, born July 26. She has a brother Hayden who is four years old. Grandparents are Dr. and Mrs. Larry Peterson and Mr. and Mrs. Don Dickinson, all of Granby, Colo., great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Little of Loveland, Colo., and Neva.

Bonnie Sue and Keith Hefner of Wagoner, Okla., arrived Friday evening to spend the weekend with Earl and Evelyn Forsberg.

Trey Hageberg of Oklahoma, has been a guest of his grandparents, Gary and Marilyn Hageberg from Thursday afternoon until Monday. They picked him up Thursday afternoon at the Gene Hageberg home at Hillsboro. Trevor Hageberg also spent some time with his grandparents and cousins, Phillip who was visiting from Topeka and Trey. They also spent time at the home of Mike and Denice Hageberg.

Savannah Forsberg was a Saturday dinner guest of Earl and Evelyn Forsberg.

Theresa Hageberg of Topeka was a Sunday afternoon visitor of Gary and Marilyn Hageberg. She came to get Phillip who has spent the week visiting the Gary Hagebergs. Trevor Hageberg will accompany them to Topeka and spend the week with his cousin.

Earl and Evelyn Forsberg, Bonnie Sue and Keith Hefner of Wagoner, Okla., and Dean and Nanette Forsberg, Ethan and Savannah attended the 50th wedding anniversary celebration at Herington Community Building for Ralph and Betty Stroda and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Schump. Irvin and Audine Strand and Charles and Darlene Gutsch also attended.

Bud and Maureen Peterson were Saturday afternoon visitors of Wendell and Mary Deane Peterson. They also brought supper to them one evening this past week.

Dinner guests Sunday of Earl and Evelyn Forsberg were Bonnie Sue and Keith Hefner and Mike and Jane Rickenbrode, Wade and Morgan of Council Grove. Afternoon visitors were Nanette Forsberg and Savannah. Sunday morning visitors were Marcus and Sabrina Dunkin and Logan of Herington and Dean Forsberg. Wade Rickenbrode is spending a few days with Earl and Evelyn.

Forrest and Marie Anderson visited Tuesday and Sunday with his sister, Maurine Johnson at Wesley Rehab Clinic at Wichita where she is recuperating after surgery.

Forrest and Marie Anderson attended the Dieball-Breimer wedding Saturday at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Manhattan.
