Those who helped Oliver Peterson celebrate his 94th birthday Sunday evening in the basement of Hebron Lutheran Church were Eldon and Isla Rose Nelson of Lost Springs, Les and Marie Thornton of Abilene, Bill and Judy Peterson, Sara and Emily and Bret and Lisa Beye of Herington, Marvin Peterson, Eric, Scott, and Josie of Lincolnville, Wendell and Mary Deane Peterson, Burdette and Maureen Peterson, Roger Peterson, Rolland Peterson, Phil and Jamie Peterson, Jim and Marilyn Peterson, Reagan Dalke of Hillsboro, Wayne and Nancy Hanson, Earl and Lois Peterson, and Pastor John Gerry.
The meetings of the American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday or following the election.
Neva Peterson spent from Wednesday afternoon until Sunday evening at Salina with Darrell and Candice Deneault. On Saturday, she accompanied them to the wedding of Andrea Marie Deneault to Joshua DeWayne Warren at Trinity United Methodist Church, Salina. They had lunch at the Deneault home after the wedding and reception.
Sandra Nelson of Tokyo, Japan, spent from July 15 to 26 with Linnea Nelson, also visiting with Karin Nelson. Paul and Corrine Flynn of Dallas, Texas, visited Linnea and Karin from July 9 to 23.
Earl and Evelyn Forsberg attended the debate this week between Shari Weber and Bill Kassebaum, candidates for state representative. Wade and Morgan Rickenbrode of Council Grove spent Tuesday night with the Forsbergs. Joining them for dinner on Wednesday were Joe, Savannah, and Ethan Forsberg. Jane Rickenbrode and Becky Elias and children visited Wednesday evening and Wade and Morgan returned home with them. Wade also spent from Friday afternoon until Sunday morning with his grandparents.
Kacey Nickel was a Thursday evening supper guest of Charles and Arlene Carlson.
Forrest and Marie Anderson attended the birthday party for Kathy Herpich on Saturday.
Lois Peterson and Marie Anderson worked Friday at the open class foods exhibit at the Morris County Fair in Council Grove.
Thursday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Forsberg were Joe, Savannah, and Ethan Forsberg.
Ruth Anderson of Salina visited Linnea and Karin Nelson on Sunday.
Amy Brunner of Topeka had dinner Saturday with Charles and Arlene Carlson.
Doris Deines and Lyn of Dodge City were Saturday overnight guests of Inez Schild after the wedding of Cicely Carlson and Johnny Karst.
Kenneth and Alice Peterson of Herington and Doris Deines and Lyn spent Sunday in White City with Esther Wernecke and Vernice Laudemann. Doris and Lyn spent the night with Kenneth and Alice before returning to Dodge City on Monday. Pastor and Mrs. David Rush also had spent the weekend with the Petersons. He officiated Saturday evening at the Carlson-Karst wedding at the Hebron Lutheran Church.
Forrest and Marie Anderson attended the Carlson-Karst wedding and reception Saturday evening.
Earl and Evelyn Forsberg were Sunday afternoon guests of Elmer and Mae Forsberg in Junction City and had supper with them.
Charles and Arlene Carlson visited Kent and Jean Brunner Sunday afternoon.
