Burdick: Peterson entertains houseguests

Dr. Larry Peterson of Granby, Colo., and Josh Peterson of Grand Lake, Colo., came Thursday to spend time with Neva Peterson. Darrell and Candice Denault of Salina spent Saturday and Sunday with Neva and her houseguests. Josh Peterson left Monday morning.

Charles Gutsch celebrated his birthday Friday by going to lunch with Perry Gutsch at Lincolnville. Gayla and Jeff Deines and family took Charles out Friday evening for dinner at Abilene where they joined other Deines relatives and friends.

Earl and Lois Peterson attended a birthday and graduation party Saturday afternoon for Samantha Beye at the home of Bret and Lisa Beye at Herington.

Dean Forsberg and Logan Dunkin of Herington were Wednesday dinner guests of Evelyn Forsberg. Afternoon guests were Sabrina Dunkin and Nanette Forsberg, Savannah and Ethan.

Mr. and Mrs. Jim Ronsick of Emporia and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Ronsick of Overland Park were Saturday morning visitors of Neva Peterson.

Earl and Ruth Schump and Harry Schump of Herington were Thursday evening visitors of Evelyn Forsberg.

Phil and Jamie Peterson entertained Mother's Day with a dinner at their home. Guests were Earl and Lois Peterson, Joyce Roever, Danny Miller, David Miller of Herington, Adriene Peterson of Lawrence, Mike Peterson and Kasey of Lyndon, Darren and Amy Makovec, Ella and Shelby of Lost Springs, and Jim and Marilyn Peterson.

Dean and Nanette Forsberg were Friday visitors of Evelyn Forsberg.

Forrest and Marie Anderson were weekend guests of Gary and Karen Korte at Emporia. Other guests were Erin Korte of Manhattan and Ian Korte of Emporia.

Charles and Arlene Carlson accompanied Mike and Linda Carlson to a Mother's Day dinner Sunday at Wichita at the home of Jonnie and Cicely Karst, Rylee and Preslee. Bob and Sandra Karst also attended.

Gary and Marilyn Hageberg attended at ROTC award ceremony Thursday evening at Topeka High School. Phillip Hageberg received a Navy Acceptional Award.

Mike and Jane Rickenbrode, Wade and Morgan of Council Grove entertained Sunday with a five o'clock Mother's Day dinner. Bill and Carol Rickenbrode, Bernice Rickenbrode of Hope, Harry Schump of Herington, Dean Forsberg, and Evelyn Forsberg were guests.

Darlene Gutsch accompanied her nephew and sister, Bruce Winkler and Doris Winkler of Marion Friday morning to Wichita to visit a few days with her sister, Dorothy Rindt. She went to visit Dorothy's houseguests, Yvonne Bertino of Tilbury, Ontario, Canada, and niece, Lynda Dopson of Windsor, Ontario, Canada, who arrived Saturday night. Sunday dinner and dessert guests were Yvonne's granddaughter Tarrah and Mike Suman and baby, Lily Grace of Vail, Colo., Gene and Doris Winkler, Bruce Winkler, Brian and Sherri Hess, Macy, Kelli, Erika, and Jake of Marion, Gayla Deines of Ramona, Charles Gutsch, and Debi Kreutzman and Diana Jones of Wichita. Darlene returned home Sunday night with Gayla and Charles.

Gary and Marilyn Hageberg attended a Topeka High School jazz band concert Sunday afternoon at Gage Park. Their grandson, Phillip Hageberg is a member of the group. Gary and Marilyn, Phillip, Theresa Hageberg, and Kenny Roberts of Topeka went out to eat for Mother's Day after the concert.

The senior citizens next scheduled meeting is June 16.
