Burdick: Senior citizens schedule meeting for April 21 years ago

Burdick Senior Citizens will meet at noon April 21. A potluck dinner will be followed by a musical program at 1 p.m. by Centre Elementary School students under the direction of Lynley Remy. Come join us for the dinner and program.

Sabrina Dunkin and Logan of Herington and Audine Strand were Monday visitors of Evelyn Forsberg.

Perry Gutsch was a Saturday afternoon visitor of Charles and Darlene Gutsch. He helped Charlie cut some tree limbs and other chores.

Ruth Riggin and Neva Peterson were Wednesday afternoon visitors of Paul Anderson at Council Grove.

Dean Forsberg, Savannah and Ethan and Sabrina Dunkin and Logan of Herington were Wednesday visitors of Evelyn Forsberg.

Charles Carlson had surgery Wednesday morning at a Wichita hospital. Jean Brunner and Arlene Carlson accompanied him and stayed at a motel. He was released from the hospital Thursday afternoon and is recovering at home. His prognosis is good. Remember him with prayers during his recovery.

Gary and Marilyn Hageberg attended a Kansas Meat Packers Association meeting Friday through Sunday at Topeka. They visited Sunday afternoon with Theresa Hageberg and Phillip.

Mike and Jane Rickenbrode, Wade and Morgan of Council Grove brought supper Friday evening to Evelyn Forsberg. Harry Schump of Herington also was a supper guest. Dean Forsberg and Ethan were evening visitors.

Charles Gutsch attended a basketball game Tuesday evening at Centre to watch his grandson, Justin Deines play.

Galen and Janis Peterson were Sunday afternoon visitors of Neva Peterson.

Joe Forsberg of Salina was a Saturday evening visitor of Evelyn Forsberg.

Rylee Karst of Wichita is spending Thursday through Sunday with her grandparents, Mike and Linda Carlson. Charles and Arlene Carlson were Friday lunch guests of Mike and Linda and Rylee.

Joyce Roever was a Saturday afternoon visitor of Mary Deane Peterson.

Wade Rickenbrode of Council Grove spent from Friday evening through Sunday with Evelyn Forsberg. She took him home Sunday and visited with Mike and Jane Rickenbrode and Morgan.

Bill and Judy Peterson of Herington, Josie Peterson of Lincolnville, Burdette and Maureen Peterson, and Mary Deane Peterson attended the baptism Sunday of Abegale Jayne Denly at Winfield. They all were dinner guests of Dave and Sara Denly, Ben and Abegale.

Kenny and Alice Peterson of Herington and their daughter, Linda Huntington of Springfield, Va., were Friday morning visitors of Neva Peterson and Friday evening dinner guests of Forrest and Marie Anderson.

Charles and Arlene Carlson attended the Cow-Camp sale Saturday at Ramona. Arlene had baked dozens of cinnamon rolls for the sale.

Caesar and Kelli Salazar and Rigo of Wichita were Wednesday guests of Mary Deane Peterson. She took them to Al's Café at Lost Springs for supper.

Tentative plans are for Burdick Council of Clubs to meet Tuesday.

Marvin and Shelly Peterson and Josie of Lincolnville hosted an 18th birthday party Friday evening for Scott Peterson. Guests were Selena Seifert of Lost Springs, Mary Haefner of Lincolnville, Bill and Judy Peterson of Herington, Burdette and Maureen Peterson, Roger Peterson, Rolland Peterson, and Mary Deane Peterson.

Matt and Jamie Dalke and Reagan of Hillsboro hosted a third birthday party for Tyler Dalke at the home of John and Delores Dalke of Hillsboro. Guests also included Jim and Marilyn Peterson, Earl and Lois Peterson, and Alfred and Darlene Sondergard of Ramona.

Remember Isla Rose Nelson who suffered a broken wrist from a fall. She will have surgery this week.
