Burdick: Seniors to meet

Senior citizens of Burdick will meet at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Legion hall. Dick and Margaret Peterson of Springfield, Mo., will give the program about their trip to Australia and New Zealand. Please come and bring a friend, also your favorite snack.
American Legion members of the Corlberg-Smith Post, Burdick, are asked to meet at the Legion hall at 8 a.m. if they can march at some or all of the cemeteries on Memorial Day. The times at each cemetery are as follows: Diamond Springs, 8:30 a.m., Wilsey, 9 a.m., Delavan, 9:30 a.m., Mitchell Valley, 10 a.m., and at these Burdick cemeteries: Mission, 10:15 a.m., Methodist, 10:30 a.m., and Hebron Lutheran, 11 a.m.
Jean Brunner, Jill Brunner, and Arlene Carlson attended the Country Cousins Tea at Ramona Saturday.
Earl and Ruth Schump of Herington were Wednesday evening visitors of Earl and Evelyn Forsberg.
Royal and Mary Smith of Marion were Wednesday morning visitors of Charles and Arlene Carlson.
Darrell and Candice Deneault of Salina spent from Saturday evening until Sunday evening with Neva Peterson celebrating Mother's Day.
Kent and Jean Brunner of Lost Springs entertained Saturday evening with Mother's Day dinner for Lauren and Orvell Brunner of Ramona, Ann Koch of Wichita, Emily Koch and Jill Brunner and Tucker of Manhattan, Amy Brunner of Salina, Nolan Brunner of Lost Springs, and Charles and Arlene Carlson.
Darrell and Candice Deneault of Salina, Paul and Leona Anderson, and Don Anderson were Sunday dinner guests of Neva Peterson at the Rockin' V Restaurant at Herington. The Denaults call on Galen and Janis Peterson Sunday afternoon.
Wade Rickenbrode of Council Grove spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Forsberg. Sunday evening guests of Earl, Evelyn, and Wade were Mr. and Mrs. Mike Rickenbrode and Morgan and Mr. and Mrs. Dean Forsberg, Joe, Savannah, and Ethan, and Sabrina Dunkin.
Charles and Arlene Carlson were Sunday dinner guests of Kent and Jean Brunner. Other guests were Jill Brunner and Tucker of Manhattan, Amy Brunner of Salina, and Nolan Brunner.
Mike and Linda Carlson were Sunday evening visitors of Charles and Arlene Carlson.
Enjoying Mother's Day dinner together Sunday at the Tabor College Cafeteria at Hillsboro were Steve and Donna Hanneman of Peabody, Betty Hanneman of Hillsboro, and Eldon and Isla Rose Nelson of Lost Springs. All attended church earlier at Steve and Donna's church (the Evansville church).
Celebrating Mother's Day with Sunday dinner at Barb's Place were Phil and Jamie Peterson and Chris, Jim and Marilyn Peterson, Earl and Lois Peterson, Oliver Peterson, Roger Peterson, and Rolland Peterson.
At 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Masonic Temple in Herington there will be a 50-year pin presentation for these three members of Esther Chapter: Laura Edwards, W. Dovie Rule, and Connie Samples of Stafford. The public is invited.
Forrest and Marie Anderson were May 2 guests of LaVern and Maureen Johnson of Lindsborg. They enjoyed visiting Stuzmans' Nursery and having lunch at the Carriage House in Yoder.
