Burdick seniors to meet April 12 years ago

Burdick Senior Citizens and the Burdick County Liners WEC are co-sponsoring a special meeting at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Legion hall. Special speakers are Vegim Krelani from Kosovo and Denis Izanov from Russia. They will be speaking about their countries. They are staying with Mr. and Mrs. Marcus Carlson and family and Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Carlson. Lunch will be furnished. Everyone is welcome.
Earl and Ruth Schump of Herington called on Earl and Evelyn Forsberg Monday evening. Mike and Jane Rickenbrode, Wade and Morgan of Council Grove were Thursday evening guests of the Forsbergs. Morgan stayed overnight, returning home on Friday. Wade stayed through Sunday. Ethan Forsberg was an additional Saturday overnight guest.
Callers at the home of Neva Peterson during the past week were Audine Strand, Nancy Riggin, Paul and Nadine James of Emporia, Ken and Alice Peterson of Herington, and Pat and C.J. Baker Jr. of Salina.
Charles and Arlene Carlson were Thursday dinner guests of Ken and Alice Peterson of Herington. Other dinner guests were Esther Wernecke of White City and Gary Wernecke of Atlanta, Ga.
Darrell and Candice Deneault spent Friday night with Neva Peterson, returning Saturday evening to their home in Salina.
Visitors at the home of Ruth Riggin since she came home from the hospital were Julie Sader, C.J. and Pat Baker, Neva Peterson, and Jack and Nancy Riggin.
Jane Rickenbrode and Evelyn Forsberg attended the district Republican women's meeting Saturday at Cottonwood Falls.
Charles and Arlene Carlson attended the Cow Camp sale at Lost Springs put on by Kent Brunner, Nolan and Mark.
Ruth Riggin attended the party for the fifth birthday of her great-granddaughter Megan Bielefeld Saturday evening at the home of Chris and Tisha Bielefeld and Seth of Peabody. Other guests were Helen Sader of Herington, Brian Sader and Trevin, Lyal and Julie Sader of Salina, Raymond and Janice Bielefeld of Hope, Greg and Michelle, Addie and Reece of Tampa, and Grandma Frick of Durham.
Teresa Hageberg and Phillip of Topeka were Saturday night and Sunday guests of Gary and Marilyn Hageberg. Additional Sunday dinner guests were Gene Hageberg and friend Kathryn and her daughter Jamie and Janine Hageberg, all of Hope, and Denice Hageberg, Trevor and Steven.
Sunday dinner guests of Earl and Evelyn Forsberg were Wade and Morgan Rickenbrode and Ethan Forsberg. The Forsbergs' Sunday evening guests included Mike and Jane Rickenbrode and Dean and Nanette Forsberg.
Neva Peterson entertained with a Sunday dinner at the Rockin' V Restaurant in Herington for the following guests: Pastor John Gerry and his friend Lorraine Paine of Gardner, Earl and Lois Peterson, Oliver Peterson, Roger Peterson, and Rolland Peterson.
