Burdick seniors to meet Feb. 20 years ago

The Burdick senior citizens will meet at noon Feb. 20 for a covered dish meal at the American Legion hall. Meat and drinks will be furnished. There will be a program at 1 p.m. Lynley Remy will bring two groups to entertain from Centre Elementary School. Everyone is welcome to attend. There will be an election of officers at a business meeting following the program.
Charles and Arlene Carlson were Friday guests of Ken and Alice Peterson at Herington, helping Alice celebrate her birthday. Others helping her celebrate were Phyllis Allen and Sue Olsen of Herington.
Charles and Darlene Gutsch attended the funeral Saturday of Marjorie Nienstedt at Marion Christian Church and also the noon luncheon. Marjorie was Darlene's aunt.
Forrest and Marie Anderson helped Alice Peterson celebrate her birthday Friday afternoon.
Mike and Linda Carlson were Saturday morning coffee guests of Charles and Arlene Carlson.
Callers of Wendell and Mary Deane Peterson during the past week were Burdette and Maureen Peterson, Hunter Schrader, Marvin Peterson and Josie, Roger Peterson, Rolland Peterson, Scott Peterson, Eric Peterson, Cuyler Beye, Willard Fischer, and Wanda Fischer.
Forrest and Marie Anderson entertained with a dinner Saturday at a restaurant in Emporia for Gary and Karen Korte, Ian and Erin of Emporia and Erik Korte of Springfield, Mo., in observance of Erik's birthday.
Wade Rickenbrode of Council Grove was a Saturday overnight guest of Earl and Evelyn Forsberg.
Jean Brunner and Tucker visited Saturday afternoon with Charles and Arlene Carlson.
