Burdick: Seniors to meet Friday evening

Senior Citizens will meet at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Earl and Marcella Hermstein of White City will present a program on their trip from July 28 to Aug. 15 to Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Helsinki, Finland, and Russia. The program is co-sponsored by the Women's Educational Club of Burdick. A lunch will follow the program. Everyone is welcome.
The American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary will meet at 8 p.m. Tuesday. The American Legion Veteran's Affairs (ALVA) will meet from 4:30 to 5 p.m. Oct. 7.
Monday evening supper guests of Earl and Evelyn Forsberg were Keith and Bonnie Sue Hefner of Wagoner, Okla., and Joe, Savannah, and Ethan Forsberg. Keith and Bonnie Sue left for their home on Tuesday after spending a few days with the Forsbergs and other relatives. Earl and Evelyn were Tuesday evening visitors of Linnea Barlow. They visited Earl and Ruth Schump of Herington Wednesday afternoon.
Toby, Sesely, and Toby Omli of Brookville and Dan Peterson visited with Myrtle Peterson Saturday morning.
Candice Deneault of Salina spent from Saturday evening until Sunday evening with Neva Peterson. Candice and Neva visited Jack and Nancy Riggin Sunday afternoon.
Charles and Arlene Carlson visited Kent and Jean Brunner and Tucker McGrath on Saturday and also had dinner with them. The Carlsons were Sunday dinner guests of Mike and Linda Carlson.
Earl and Evelyn Forsberg visited Elmer and Mae Forsberg at Junction City Thursday afternoon.
Saturday visitors of Myrtle Peterson were Lorene Smith of Lincolnville and Pat Nelson of Herington.
Wade Rickenbrode of Council Grove was a Friday and Saturday overnight guest of Earl and Evelyn Forsberg.
Sept. 23 dinner guests of Forrest and Marie Anderson were Dr. Robert and Barbara Anderson of Tulsa, Okla. They also were afternoon guests.
