Burdick seniors to meet June 20 years ago

There will be a memorial for Melvin Griepenstroh at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Burdick Methodist Church. Burial will follow at the Methodist Cemetery.
Members of the Corlberg-Smith Post of the American Legion are to meet at the Legion hall by 8 a.m. Memorial Day. They will be at the Diamond Springs Cemetery at 8:30 a.m., at the Wilsey Cemetery at 9 a.m., Delavan Cemetery at 9:30 a.m., Mitchell Valley at 10 a.m., Mission Cemetery at 10:15 a.m., Methodist Cemetery at 10:30 a.m., and the Hebron Lutheran Cemetery at 11 a.m.
Items for next week's paper will be mailed shortly after noon Friday due to the Memorial Day weekend, etc. Items can be called in Thursday evening.
Burdick Council of Clubs will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The next meeting of the Corlberg-Smith Post of the American Legion and Auxiliary will be at 8 p.m. June 3.
Kacey Nickel was a Monday evening supper guest of Charles and Arlene Carlson.
Sabrina Dunkin was a Wednesday dinner guest of Earl and Evelyn Forsberg. Lee Remy visited Earl and Evelyn Wednesday afternoon.
Forrest and Marie Anderson attended the college graduation reception Saturday at the Country Club in Emporia for Eric (E.T.) Anderson.
Mr. and Mrs. Dean Forsberg, Joe, Savannah, and Ethan and Sabrina Dunkin attended the high school graduation exercises for Nicholas Forsberg at Spring Hill Saturday evening.
Charles and Arlene Carlson were Saturday evening supper guests of Kent and Jean Brunner.

Charles and Arlene Carlson attended the reception Sunday afternoon at the Masonic Temple in Herington for the presentation of 50-year pins to Laura Edwards, Dovie Rule, and Connie Samples.
Those attending the graduation of Jenny Schrader with a master's degree in counseling from the Wichita State University were Burdette and Maureen Peterson, Wendell and Mary Deane Peterson, and Ron Schrader, Shae and Hunter of Wichita. A barbecue was hosted by Ron and Jenny Schrader at their home following the ceremony.
