Burdick: Watermelon feed is Friday

Burdick Senior Citizens will meet Friday in the evening for a watermelon feed.

Wade Rickenbrode of Council Grove spent from Sunday until Friday with Earl and Evelyn Forsberg. Morgan Rickenbrode spent Wednesday and Thursday with them. Ethan Forsberg was Wednesday overnight and Thursday guest.

Visitors of Wendell and Mary Deane Peterson during the week were Steve Thornton of Abilene, Jenny Schrader and Shae of Wichita, Bret and Lisa Beye, Samantha and Chelsea and Bill Peterson of Herington, Burdette and Maureen Peterson, Oliver Peterson, Roger Peterson, Rolland Peterson, and Ruth Ann Claerhout.

Lois Peterson of Burdick and Keith and Diane Miller of Grand Junction, Colo., visited Neva Peterson during the past week.

Elmer and Mae Forsberg of Junction City and Leroy Shannon were Thursday afternoon visitors of Earl and Evelyn Forsberg and their guests.

Dr. Larry and Susie Peterson of Granby, Colo., were Friday afternoon and night guests of Neva Peterson. Candice Deneault of Salina also was a Friday evening guest. All went to the visitation for Roy Schump at Brockmeier Funeral Home Friday evening. Inez Schild also attended the visitation.

Galen and Janis Peterson visited with Neva Peterson and her other guests Friday evening after they came home from the visitation.

Mary Deane Peterson and her granddaughter Josie Peterson of Lincolnville visited at the home of Earl and Evelyn Forsberg Thursday evening.

Mike and Jane Rickenbrode of Council Grove were Thursday evening visitors of Earl and Evelyn Forsberg. Wade and Morgan returned home with them.

Keith and Diane Miller and Lois Peterson visited with Charles and Arlene Carlson Saturday morning.

Galen Peterson was a guest of Neva Peterson for Saturday lunch.

Earl and Evelyn Forsberg attended the visitation for Roy Schump Friday evening at the Brockmeier Funeral Home in Herington. Afterward they visited Earl and Ruth Schump.

Linnea Nelson and Karin Nelson visited with Dorothy Saranson and family of rural Geary County on Sunday.

Charles and Arlene Carlson visited with Kent and Jean Brunner Sunday afternoon.
