Burns plans city hall, library grand opening
A grand opening ceremony is planned at 11 a.m. Saturday for the Burns City Hall and Library.
Senator Jim Barnett is scheduled to be the keynote speaker.
A 100-year-old building was remodeled in downtown Burns to house the two entities. Funding for the $191,000 project was made possible through grants from USDA Rural Development and the Sabatini Family Foundation, and donations from individuals. McCollum Construction of Augusta was the general contractor.
"Instant Grits" will perform. Tours of the facilities will be available and refreshments will be served.
