Carlson, Depler named students of the month

Marion High School announced this past week seniors Adam Depler and Jessi Carlson were named students of the month.

Jessi, the daughter of Brad Carlson and Rhonda Carlson of Marion, has been busy her four years at MHS, participating in sports, community service, and fine arts activities.

She was a member of the school choir three years and the MHS Singers, which included a performance at the Kansas Music Educators Association festival.

Currently Jessi is the secretary of Future Educators of America (FEA), and has been a member for two years. She was a cheerleader one season, and has volunteered one year for Bigs in Schools, and two years for Youth Court.

Jessi, who has a brother Randy, attends Marion Christian Church and is employed at Hannaford Title and Co.

Adam has been active in Future Farmers of America (FFA) while at MHS, and various sports.

He played football, wrestled, and is a member of the track team. As a junior Adam qualified, and took sixth place, at the 3A-2A-1A state wrestling meet.

Adam is the son of Don and Donna Depler of Florence and is employed by M and M Feeders.
