Carrie Darrow graduates with honors

Carrie Lynn Darrow graduated summa cum laude Saturday with bachelor of arts degrees in Spanish and international studies from Kansas State University.

She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, Golden Key, Phi Eta Sigma, and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

Other memberships included Delta Delta Delta and the KSU Rotaract Club. She also served as the KSU Relay for Life survivor chairman.

During her junior year she participated in the International Student Exchange Program, attending school at the University of Santiago at Santiago de Compostela, Spain.

Darrow has accepted a graduate teaching assistantship at the University of Washington at Seattle and will be working on a master's degree in Spanish literary and cultural studies.

She is the daughter of Bill and Debbi Darrow of Marion.
