"What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us."

The Chase County Art Guild had its annual show on Saturday at St. Anthony's Hall in Cottonwood Falls. They have been having it for 20 years. Members of the guild from Cedar Point are Betty Fetrow, Marge Van Sickle, and Bennie and Marie Holtsclaw. They exhibited their work at the show and spent time painting and visiting with people who stopped in.

Hope everyone had a good rodeo weekend. The parade sure was nice. The County Line 4-H Club had a float in the parade and members of the club rode on it. It touted to join 4-H as there are lots of fun things to do.

I saw Dean and Civilla Parks at the rodeo parade. They were visiting with friends and family.

Chubb, Lucille, and Gary Pinkston were in town enjoying the rodeo weekend. They came over to the Crofoot reunion to visit with everyone.

We had a nice Crofoot reunion. I will try to list everyone, but I am sure I will miss someone. If I do, I'm sorry. Attending were Helen Wealand, Jay and Jinny Jo Crofoot and their daughter Nancy Foster, Robert and Deanna Wealand, Bruce, Kenn, Judy, and Tim Wealand, John and Chris Hinnen, Renee Hinnen and fiancé Brent Tillotson, Pat Crofoot, Steven and Geni Crofoot, Trish Crofoot Weidert and daughters Katie Adams and Betsy Kennedy, Mark, Leigh Ann, Ross, and Jordan Crofoot, Kim, Sandy, and Chelsea Crofoot, Jim and Joni Crofoot, Pam Bowers, Claire Robinson and friend Millie Colle, Mike, Sharon, and Colin Robinson, Pat and Ben Robinson, Alan and Karen Robinson Walczak, Steve, Christy (Walczak), Katie and Quinn Ketel, and Mike, Renee, Matthew, and Andrew Walczak.

Beside family, there were friends in attendance. Friends were Ruth Carol Jones (Trish's mother), Peg Buselle and the Millhan family from Wichita, and Ernie and Bonnie Barrett.

Supper was served at the Masonic Lodge before some of the members of the family went to the rodeo. Brisket was the main dish. It was made by Reilly Reid in Florence and it was delicious. There was plenty to eat.
