"When life throws you a curve, it's to teach you how to bend."

Well, the new roof is going on the school gym at this time. It will be nice to have it on.

Helen Wealand had a guest last week — her great-grandson, Kasey Keys. Tim and Toben enjoyed his visit. Dale and Kay Wealand took Helen out for lunch on Sunday.

Bob and Taylor Fetrow visited with Mason and Betty Fetrow Sunday evening and had supper with them. Judy Mussig, daughter Michelle, and friend Carla were guests of Mason and Betty from last Wednesday to Saturday. They were enjoying part of their spring break with them. Betty said when they come, they like to help around the farm. It is nice to have help and pleasant company at the same time.

Frances Olson had knee replacement surgery March 12 at Newman Hospital in Emporia and is recovering satisfactorily.

Rick Roberts, son of Irma and Sam, had neck surgery March 5 and is doing well.

Pat and Mary Sauble had a recent trip to Colorado. Tim and Toben enjoyed doing their chores for them while they were gone.

We recently have had some grass fires due to the dry weather. It will be good to have some rain.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable Easter.
