Centre FFA livestock teams place in district contest
Two teams from Centre High School FFA chapter competed April 6 in the South Central District FFA livestock judging contest at Hutchinson.
Members of the A team were Aaron Barney, Jackie Klenda, Tad Remy, and Tim Baker. They placed fourth of 14 teams. Barney placed seventh overall individually.
A freshman team comprised of Lance Diepenbrock, Gloria Belton, and Kevin Mueller, placed third among 17 teams. Diepenbrock was fourth in individual competition.
Alfonse Klenda, Jo Terwilliger, Alisha Barney, and Brandy Kaiser were members of a B team which placed fourth. Individually, Klenda was fifth overall.
In a Hutchinson Community College livestock contest, Alfonse Klenda was high individual in sheep judging and placed third in reasons. Kevin Mueller was high individual in swine judging, and Lance Diepenbrock was fifth overall.
