Centre FFA officers make movies at camp
Leaders of the Centre FFA chapter attended the 45th annual state FFA conference for chapter leaders July 14-16 in Great Bend. The conference included more than 300 members and advisers from 60 chapters.
Students spent the weekend creating their own FFA movies.
The first day was spent writing scripts and filling roles. During these workshops, officers learned what it takes to be a true servant leader and put others first. They also discovered their specific duties as officers within their chapters.
That evening, students headed to Camp Aldrich, where they took a course which challenged them to find communication, teamwork, and trust.
The following day, students began to build their crew. In doing so, they united with their teams and shared ideas for the upcoming year. They also learned ways to develop and strengthen their chapters throughout the year.
The final morning of the conference was spent learning how to make their films a success by working with their communities.
Finally, the movies were complete.
The conference concluded with the Oscars. Chapters were awarded for their hard work and commitment. As the award ceremony came to a close, it became clear that members who attended the conference will have starring roles in leading their members throughout the year.
