Centre FFA students attend state convention
Several Centre FFA members participated in and received recognition May 29-30 at the state FFA convention in Manhattan.
Derek Belton, Kristin Mueller, and Andrea Carlson received state FFA degrees.
Jackie Klenda placed third overall in the creed speaking contest. Brent Carlson placed 10th in job interview. Belton participated in a public speaking contest.
Laura Klenda was a member of the FFA chorus and Andrea Carlson and Dustin Suffield were members of the state FFA band. Both groups presented two concerts.
Aaron Barney and Shaina Makovec also attended. Sponsors were Cary Granzow and Gaea Wimmer.
In attendance at awards night were Demitry Evancho, Neal Weltha, Ed, Gwenn, and Gloria Belton, Francie Mueller, Karen, Duane, Natalie, and Carrie Carlson, Joyce and Ruth Ann Carlson, and Julie Klenda.
