Centre girls place third
Centre High School girls' track team took third place April 6 at the Haven track meet. They scored 92 points, behind Bluestem with 108 and Haven, 102. Canton-Galva finished with 22 points. Independence, with limited participation, scored 18 points.
Centre had three individual first-place finishes. Senior Raschelle Jirak was first in discus with a throw of 100-2; sophomore Jackie Klenda was first in the 400-meter run with a time of 1:10.12; and senior Laura Klenda finished first in javelin with a throw of 118'4".
