Centre girls win home triangular
The Centre High School volleyball team won one and lost one at a triangular played Oct. 8 at home.
The Lady Cougars won a match with Wakefield in two games. The Klenda sisters led scoring.
The first game was won by a score of 15-3. Seven points came on serving by Jackie Klenda, four by Brianne Stahlecker, and three by Ashlee Bowman.
In the second game, Laura Klenda led scoring with seven points, followed by Stahlecker with four.
The team was almost 100 percent in spikes, and Stahlecker and Raschelle Jirak set balls leading to a total of seven kills. They won handily, 15-0.

Competing with Hope was another matter. Centre's play fell flat in the first game, and they lost by a score of 1-15. Jackie Klenda had the lone score.
The team fared better in the second game, keeping it close, but lost 11-15. Jackie Klenda had six points, followed by Fenske with three, and Stahlecker with two.
