Centre girls win over Wakefield

The Lady Cougars basketball team got its second win of the year Dec. 18 by easily defeating Wakefield 53-28 at Wakefield.

Andrea Stahlecker was the only player in double digits with 10 points. However, every player contributed to the final score.

After a slow start by both teams, 3-2 at the end of the first quarter, Centre went on a 21-point run, up 24-8 at the break. Both teams scored 13 points in the third quarter and Centre went on to score 16 points in the fourth while Wakefield scored only seven, providing a wide winning margin for Centre.
