Chamber plans Christmas parade
Entries are being accepted for the Sugar Plum Christmas parade which will begin at 2 p.m. Nov. 25, downtown Marion.
Parade lineup will be on Walnut Street and the parade will travel down Main Street to Fifth Street.
Retail stores will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. to accommodate Christmas shoppers.
Following the parade, Santa Claus will make an appearance at his house in the lot by Suffield's. He will be there until 4 p.m. to hear the wishes of boys and girls.
A pet parade, sponsored by Animal Health Center, will take place at 2:30 p.m. at Liberty Park.
Also at Santa's house, the Central Park Improvement Committee will have a drawing for the fund-raiser quilt and baby afghan at 3 p.m. You do not need to be present to win.
At 3:15, the first Christmas Cash drawing for $100 will be held at Santa's house. You must be present to win.
