Charmaine Agnes Keith, 56, Marion, died at St. Luke Hospital March 1, 2003, from an apparent heart attack.

Born Dec. 30, 1946, at Columbus, Neb., she was the first born of the four children of Chester and Virginia Cremeen.

The family moved to Wichita when she was four. She graduated from Wichita Southeast High School in 1964.

On Oct. 1, 1971, she was married to William Keith. They had three children, Jess, Fawn, and Ida.

They enjoyed many vacations and especially fishing and camping at Marion Reservoir.

The family moved to Marion in October of 1983.

She managed a novelty shop in Wichita and helped Bill with the Krazy Klowns unit of Midian Shrine.

She was a generous person who loved animals. The family had dogs, cats, rabbits, ducks, a goose, turtle, gold fish, gerbils, and a St. Bernard over the years. They also showed dogs across Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas.

She and Bill owned and operated Mar Bowl Lanes in Marion, making many friends in the community.

Hobbies were enjoyable, including knitting, quilting, crocheting, calligraphy, and many others. She also collected antique bells, cookie jars; Emmett Kelly clown statues, and John Deere toys.

For the past eight years she was deeply engrossed with genealogy and had researched their family trees.

She also was a web designer on the Internet.

Survivors include her husband, Bill, of the home; their three children, son Jess Keith of Wichita, daughters Fawn Lopez of Atlanta, Ga., and Ida French of Hillsboro; brother, Allen Cremeen of Wichita; sister, Holly McGaugh of Park City; father, Chester Cremeen of Wichita; and two grandsons, Devon Keith and Brandon French.

Services were held Tuesday afternoon at Marion Christian Church with Dr. David Branson officiating.

Greg Bowers sang vocal selections and Shirley Bowers was the organist.

Casket bearers were Joe Russell, Jason Mill, Martin Hooper, Quinn Trapp, Rod Hague, and Jeff Jarvis.

Burial was in Marion Cemetery.
