Cheryl Weathers

Cheryl D. Weathers, 55, Marion, died Feb. 23, 2002 at St. Luke Hospital of an apparent heart attack.

She was born Dec. 18, 1946, at Dillon, the daughter of Winton O. and Mildred I. (Friedli) Blair.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Donahue Funeral Home Chapel, Herington with the Rev. Lester Trusty officiating. Inurnment will be held later in the Ashton Cemetery, Dillon.

Weathers was a homemaker and worked at the Duckwall's Store in Marion. She had lived in the Tri-County area all of her life, graduating from Centre High School with the class of 1964.

She married Robert E. Weathers on July 2, 1999, at Newton, he survives of the home. She also is survived by a son, Robert Hanneman Jr. of Wichita; a daughter, Gayle Makovec of Lost Springs; parents, W.O. and Millie Blair of Herington; and two grandchildren.

A memorial has been established at the Herington-Tri-County Area Vietnam Fund with the American Legion Post #12, Herington.
