Christmas home tour has something for everyone

A variety of Christmas themes will be displayed Nov. 28 at the annual Christmas Home Tours.

Four homes will be on display from 1 to 5 p.m.

Todd and Vicki Guetersloh at 115 N. Fourth will celebrate 100 years to the day (Sunday) when groundbreaking took place for construction of their home.

A traditional theme can be seen throughout the home with a display of red and green, silver and gold. All three floors of the Victorian home will be decorated and available to tour. Vicki's mother owns a Victorian home in Fort Scott and is assisting with preparations.

Amy Rasmussen at 318 N. Cedar will have a variety of themes in her home display.

Living and dining rooms will be accented with Victorian decorations. Her kitchen has a 1950s "retro diner" theme with Coca-Cola ornaments and 1950s accents.

Gerald and Jan Wiens at 1023 Welch will have Gerald's photographs as their focal point.

Christmas trees with natural ornaments of berries and pine cones will be on display.

Bill and Mickey Lundy at 204 N. Lincoln also are on the tour. Information about their decorations and their historic home are included in this edition of the Marion County Record.

Tickets for the tour are $5 each and available at Marion City Library and at each home during the tour. Refreshments will be served at the library during the tour.

Proceeds from the tour will be used for library improvements.
