CJHS boys defeat Prairie Heights
In a game played Thursday at Alta Vista, Centre Junior High boys defeated Prairie Heights, 34-26.
The junior Cougars outscored Heights in each of the first three quarters: 8-2, 9-5, and 12-8.
Prairie Heights staged a comeback in the fourth quarter, scoring 11 points to Centre's five. But the six-point advantage was not enough to make up for the 14-point deficit at the end of the third quarter.
The Cougars won by 12 points.
Two players scored in double digits: Ben Krause 12, and James Weber 10. Konley Harding and Kacey Hanschu added four points each. Josh Olsen and Jared Diepenbrock added two each.
