CJHS boys defeat St. Xavier
The Centre Junior High School football team defeated St. Xavier at Junction City Thursday by a score of 54-14.
Centre scored 20 points in the first quarter, 28 in the second, and six in the third. St. Xavier scored six points in the second quarter and eight in the fourth.
Phillip Griffith was leading rusher with eight carries for 93 yards. Ben Krause threw six completed passes for 85 yards. Dane Moore was leading receiver with three catches for 69 yards. Griffith led the defense with five solo and two assisted tackles.
