CJHS boys post win

In a home opener, Centre Junior High School boys' basketball team defeated St. Xavier, 42-32.
St. Xavier was competitive until the fourth quarter, with quarter scores (Centre first) of 8-9, 22-19, and 28-27.
Centre scored 14 points in the fourth quarter compared to five by St. Xavier to win by 10 points.
Ben Krause was leading scorer with 18 points, followed by James Weber with 12.
Other scorers were Konley Harding, six points, and Josh Leach, Josh Olsen, and Trevor Trout, two each.
The small number of St. Xavier players precluded a B game.
The next game is Tuesday at home against Hope.
