Class of 1948 reunion is planned years ago
Marion High School class of 1948 will meet Sept. 26-27 for a 55th class reunion, according to chairman Shirley Bowers.
Class members will meet at 7 p.m. Sept. 26 at the home of Forrest and Bea Kelsey in Marion for a yard party. Pizza and soft drinks will be furnished.
At 9 a.m. Sept. 27 they will meet at Marion Senior Center for donuts, coffee, and juice prior to boarding the wagon for Jex Addition and the parade line-up.
The group will ride through the traditional 11 a.m. parade then enjoy lunch in Central Park. They will participate in the afternoon program and class introductions.
A social hour will begin at 6 p.m. at the senior center, followed by dinner at 7 p.m.
Other classes are encouraged to submit their reunion information to the newspaper as soon as possible.
