Clinton Seifert
Clinton "Butch" Seifert, 81, died Feb. 13, 2002, at his home in Russell.
He was born Feb. 8, 1921, at Marion, the son of the late John and Anna (Stenzel) Seifert.
He grew up in Marion and graduated from Marion High School.
On May 18, 1947, he married Ella Mae Kaufman at Dorrance.
They lived at Dorrance prior to moving to Russell where he was a well known carpenter and builder for many years.
He was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II.
He was a member of the American Legion and St. John Lutheran Church, Russell.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Eugene and John Cedric Seifert.
Survivors include his spouse, Ella Mae, of the home; five daughters, Kathleen Bean of Solomon, Annie Laurie Seifert of Lawrence, Jeannine Arrighi of Overland, Mo., Dinah Heidrick of Beloit, and Tammy Albertson of Petaluma, Calif.; one half-brother, Larry Seifert of Granby, Mo.; three grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
The funeral service was held Saturday afternoon at St. John Lutheran Church, Russell, with burial in the Dorrance Cemetery.
A fund has been established in his memory with the church Camp Tomah Shinga scholarship.
