Community Christmas Angel program helps needy families in Marion-Florence USD 408 and Centre USD 397 by providing Christmas presents for children.
Angels are located at Duckwall's, Kraft Korner, Central National Bank, Marion National Bank, Tampa State Bank in Marion and Tampa, The County Seat, Carlsons' IGA, Suffield's Hardware, Pilsen State Bank in Lincolnville, and Florence Market and Cottonwood Valley Bank in Florence.
Angels should be returned to where they were picked up with the unwrapped gift by Dec. 4.
"The deadline is Dec. 4 but we'll accept stuff until Dec. 10," said Jami Williams, Community Christmas volunteer.
Gifts and food baskets will be distributed Dec. 14 at the former Marion City Library.
Cash donations also are accepted. The Community Christmas program helps about 50 families in the area each year with Christmas presents and food baskets.
