Computers seized after warrant served in Florence
Sometime between Nov. 1, 2003, and Nov. 27, information had been received that a person possessed pornographic pictures of young girls under the age of 16. A search warrant was issued and served in Florence. During the search, two computers and other related items valued at $2,250 were seized. No arrests have been made at this time, reports Deputy Waddell.
A driver was stopped at 8:49 p.m. Nov. 29 on U.S.-50 at milepost 301.5 after law enforcement saw the individual. Law enforcement knew the driver was driving with a suspended license. The driver was intoxicated and refused tests. Deputy Aaron Waddell arrested the driver for driving under the influence and driving while license suspended. Taken from the vehicle were two bottles of alcohol valued at $30.
Between 5 and 7 p.m. Nov. 21, an individual removed a purse from a vehicle belonging to Misty Dawn French, McPherson. The purse was recovered Nov. 24 by a citizen at the Cottonwood River bridge just west of Marion on K-256. Deputy Mike Vineski states the purse and contents recovered were valued at $25.
A driver was checked by radar at 78 mph in a 65-mph zone at 9:40 p.m. Dec. 12 at K-150 and mile marker 3. During the traffic stop, the driver was found to be driving with a suspended driver's license, reports Deputy Josh Whitwell.
