Burdick residents and others will be helping one of their townspeople with a special celebration. Francis R. George will celebrate his 100th birthday Friday. He lives at 543 S. Main, Burdick, with his granddaughter, Angela and husband Rick, and their children, Beka, Kate, Allie, and Matthew. He has lived here for two and one-half years and is a retired chemist and farmer. Help him celebrate his birthday by attending his open house Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at his home. All are welcome to attend.

Harry Schump of Herington and Dean Forsberg were Monday morning visitors of Evelyn Forsberg.

Ila Bryant of Wichita was a Friday afternoon visitor of Neva Peterson.

Harry Schump and Evelyn Forsberg attended a Boy Scout Troop 5 court of honor meeting Monday evening at Council Grove Lutheran church. Wade Rickenbrode received seven badges and a promotion pin.

Candice Denault of Salina spent Saturday with Neva Peterson. She helped her mother with many chores.

Dean Forsberg, Evelyn Forsberg, and Jane Rickenbrode had lunch Friday noon.

Gayla Deines picked up Darlene Gutsch late Thursday afternoon and they did some business errands in Marion and McPherson. They had supper in McPherson. On their return home, they stopped at the Deines home and Darlene visited with Jeff Deines, Shelby and Justin.

Teresa Hageberg and Kenny Roberts of Topeka visited Gary and Marilyn Hageberg Saturday afternoon. They helped her with some work in her living room.

Charles and Arlene Carlson had supper Wednesday evening with Kent and Jean Brunner.

Mike Carlson celebrated his birthday Friday evening at his home. Guests were Charles and Arlene Carlson and Kent and Jean Brunner.

Mary Deane Peterson was a Saturday evening supper guest of Josie Peterson at Lincolnville.

Julie Sader of Salina and Ruth Riggin went to Wichita Tuesday to visit the Petersons at the hospital.

Marvin Peterson and Josie of Lincolnville and Mary Deane Peterson visited the Petersons Friday at the hospital in Wichita.

Perry Gutsch was a Sunday afternoon visitor of Darlene Gutsch. He brought her a new cell phone.

Ruth Riggin was a Sunday afternoon visitor of Alona and Bruce Hedstrom.

Evelyn Forsberg, Savannah Forsberg, and Willie Hicks were Sunday dinner guests of Harry Schump at Herington.

Josie Peterson went to church Sunday with Mary Deane Peterson and ate lunch with her.

Joe Forsberg of Salina and Dean Forsberg were Sunday evening visitors of Evelyn Forsberg.

Burdette and Maureen Peterson went to Wichita Sunday to visit Earl Peterson at the hospital.
