CORRESPONDENTS: Sassy Senior Moments

It seems to me that there are many reasons to eat at Marion Senior Center that might not have occurred to everyone. If you have unexpected company, come and eat lunch with us. If you work in town and run home for a sandwich, come in for a really good meal. If you belong to a group that meets and you need a new place to go, we're here. Many people come every day. No cooking, no dishes. It's a good place to celebrate birthdays and a good reason to get out of your pajamas and join your friends for lunch.

This week we welcomed Marion County Democratic Women for their monthly meeting.

On April 11, we had birthday treats from an anonymous person who didn't want a fuss made about being "one more year closer to the grave." We enjoyed the ice cream.

Tom Duggan spoke to us after lunch that day about being the Silver-Haired Legislator of Marion County.

Albert Steele brought some of his art work to display.

Senior Center Day was April 16. The program was provided by home-schooled students. They provided a patriotic music and spoken word program.

Come join us Friday for bingo. Our program April 30 will be provided by Dr. Dennis Scharenberg of Hillsboro.
