Cupps, Becker are married
Laura Christine Cupps and Todd Brandon Becker, both of Marion, were married in a two o'clock ceremony Oct. 21, 2006, at Marion Christian Church.
Parents of the couple are Anita and Martin Hooper of Marion and Kent and Ginger Becker of Durham.
Dr. Harvey Friez and the Rev. Carl Helm officiated at the double ring ceremony.
Music was provided by organist Norma Riggs and vocalist Mike Connell.
Candles were lighted by Annette Becker, the groom's sister-in-law.
The bride was escorted down the aisle by her brother, Patrick Cupps. She wore a white matte satin gown featuring a basque waistline bodice with a sweetheart neckline and long sleeves. The shirred skirt flowed into a cathedral-length train embellished with hand-beading and re-embroidered lace accenting the entire gown.
She carried a cascading bouquet of stargazer lilies, red and white roses accented with stephanotis, pearls, and ribbon.
Jaclyn Coleman was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Michelle Bosworth, Shannon Foster, and Kristen Hooper. They wore full-length burgundy chiffon A-line gowns. The matron of honor carried stargazer lilies and red roses tied with silver ribbon while the bridesmaids carried stargazer lilies tied with silver ribbon.
Debbie Hooper and Jan Peter were the bride's coordinators.
Chantelle Cupps and Kylea Becker were flower girls. The bride's son, Christian Cupps, was the ring bearer.
Tony Becker served as best man. Groomsmen were Patrick Cupps, Tom Watson, and Dr. Matthew Friez.
Guests were seated by William Keith, William Hooper, Brayden Foster, and Tyler Foster.
Tammy Meysing was the guest book attendant.
A reception was held in the church basement. Reception attendants were Pat Enos, Diane Regier, and Melissa Lawrence.
The bride is a graduate of Marion High School and is taking classes at Butler of Marion. She is a paraeducator at Marion Elementary School.
Her husband is a graduate of Hillsboro High School, Butler Community College, Pratt Community College, and Ravencrest Bible College. He is employed at Excel Industries, Hesston.
Following a wedding trip to Estes Park, Colo., the couple lives in the Eastshore subdivision at Marion Reservoir.
